Purpose

To give space for believers and nonbelievers to wrestle with skepticism, doubt, and question.

Why

Many people in the church today wrestle with doubt and skepticism. Unfortunately, this can often be a silent struggle with no comfortable space to ask questions or explore their wrestle. These questions and doubts can become boundaries to the faith, hindering worship, community, prayer, and many other integral aspects of walking with Jesus. This space is our answer to this problem. We want this to be a time when people feel comfortable asking questions, being curious, and confronting doubt.

How

This space will be offered 4 times a year (once a quarter). The questions can be submitted through a form throughout the year. These questions should be centered around the concept of faith and belief and/or how to live out faith and belief. The questions asked through the form will be reviewed and answered by our pastors and/or leaders.

Hope

We hope to model a compassionate conviction in all engagements. Answers can rightly divide grace and truth, and people can disagree with loving humility.

We hope to model Peter’s exhortation in 1 Peter 3:15. We are ready to give an answer to the hope we have, but do so with gentleness and patience.

We hope to follow the Bible’s command to “have mercy on those who doubt.” // Jude 1:22

We hope this is a space where non-believers feel comfortable asking questions and wrestling with their curiosities.

We hope that boundaries to the faith can be confronted and Christ would be seen as the way, the truth, and the life.
