- Mar 8, 2015A Fresh Start in WitnessingMar 8, 2015A Fresh Start in WitnessingBy: Mike LovelySeries: Fresh StartIn a courtroom, when a witness is placed on the stand they can only state something they personally know to be true - something they have seen or experienced. Jesus told his disciples they would be witnesses. They were to tell the world what they had seen and had learned from him. We are also called to be witnesses. And although we have not seen him in person as the disciples did, we have experienced his life-changing power. As witnesses for Christ, we must utilize the power of the Holy Spirit, emphasize the person of the Son, and mobilize the plan of Scripture.
- Mar 1, 2015The Gift of GraceMar 1, 2015The Gift of GraceBy: Griff ServatiSeries: Stand-alone MessagesGrace isn't fair. It is so much better than fair. You don't deserve it. You can't work for it. God gives gifts, not wages. The wages of our sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus, our Lord.
- Feb 22, 2015Amazing GraceFeb 22, 2015Amazing GraceBy: Griff ServatiSeries: Stand-alone MessagesJohn Newton, the man who wrote the hymn, Amazing Grace, said as he neared the end of his life, "My memory is nearly gone, but I remember two things, that I am a great sinner, and that Christ is a great Saviour." When we become aware of the sin in our lives, we see ourselves and others differently. And we also understand that we are lost without the grace of God.

Our service comes from hearts tuned to God and eyes that see others the way He sees them. In this message from the Fresh Start series, Pastor Mike uses Luke 22:25-27 to explain the expectation of service, the preparation for service, and the motivation for service.
- Feb 8, 2015A Fresh Start in PrayerFeb 8, 2015A Fresh Start in PrayerBy: Mike LovelySeries: Fresh StartPrayer is one of the main disciplines that a follower of Christ needs in order to grow to maturity. In Luke 11:1-13, Jesus uses a "model prayer" to teach His disciples how to pray, then gives practical examples of the effectiveness of prayer. In this passage we are taught to pray consistently, pray correctly, and pray continuously.
- Feb 1, 2015Mature in ChristFeb 1, 2015Mature in ChristBy: Kyle EssarySeries: Stand-alone MessagesAs parents, we want our children to grow into mature adults. Our Father in heaven wants the same from us. In this message, guest speaker Kyle Essary examines Colossians 1:28 for ways to stay on track toward the goal of Christian maturity.

But scripture gives us a more accurate picture of who God is. In Luke, chapter 15, Jesus tells a story about a father and two sons. We usually focus on the "prodigal" son, but we can learn much about our relationship with God by looking at the father and the other son. In this story we see a picture of the Father's grace.
- Jan 25, 2015A Glimpse of GraceJan 25, 2015A Glimpse of GraceBy: Mike LovelySeries: Fresh StartActs 9 contains the account of the conversion of Paul (then known as Saul). It is a powerful testimony, but it is essentially the same for anyone who puts their faith in Jesus Christ. It is the story of someone realizing that he is a lost sinner in need of the grace of God. In this chapter, we see Paul's life before he met Christ, his life unraveling in need of Christ, Paul being confronted by Christ, and his life after he met Christ.
- Jan 18, 2015A Fresh Start with Your BibleJan 18, 2015A Fresh Start with Your BibleBy: Mike LovelySeries: Fresh StartOne of our core values is a reliance on biblical authority. God's Word is our final authority in all matters. Yet only 35% of evangelical Christians read their Bible outside of a church service. It's not enough to be under the Word, we must be in the Word. In this message, taken from 2 Timothy 2:14-15 and Psalm 119, Pastor Mike encourages us to get into the Bible and get the Bible into us.
