Summer Reset
What is the Summer Reset?
May 31st-August 2nd
The Summer Reset is about preparing ourselves for future growth, transition, and health in the months and years ahead.
This means that during this time we will have a ministry shift from our regular ministry rhythms where we pause several of our Midweek ministries along with several of our Sunday morning operations.
By pausing these rhythms FBCVA will be able to pay attention to several key areas that will, by God’s grace, lead to the flourishing of ministries going forward.
What’s Changing?
-
Children’s Ministry Programming (Grades K – 6th)
Our Sunday morning childcare for children in Kingder-6th grade will not be meeting during the Summer Reset period. Children will attend church alongside their parents each week.
We will have activity/coloring sheets and supplies available for everyone!
The nursery will still be operating as usual for children birth-Kindergarten.
-
7th – 12th Sunday Morning Bible Study
Likewise, our student ministry (7th-12th grade) Sunday morning Equip Class will pause for the Summer Reset period.
-
Regular Community Group Gatherings
Our regular community group gatherings will also pause. This will allow us to:
-Examine the current rhythm and groups
-Deeper training for current and future community groups
-Pause the regular rhythm to give leaders a rest
