  • Collin McKinney History (McKinney History Museum and Van Alstyne Connections)

    Time: 9:00am local sites with a tour of the Collin County Historical Museum and lunch in Downtown McKinney. Return around 3pm

  • The Dallas Samarui Collection one-of-a-kind museum dedicated to the beauty of Japanese Samaruais. The free museum is in a beautifully renovated old school in the heart of the Dallas Harwood district (AAC).

    Lunch at the ORIGINAL Campisi restaurant with the best pizza in Dallas. This is the location where Jack Ruby ate dinner with the Dallas mob boss, the owner of the restaurant, the night before he shot Lee Harvey Oswald.

    Departure: 9am from FLC, return 1:30-2pm

    Bonham: Sam Rayburn House and Library with lunch at Muddbones Hamburgers (Best in Texas)

    COST: $3 entry to house, library is free and then lunch cost.

  • We have adjusted our trip from Nocona (the car museum closed) to a local trip to look at Bluebonnets, drive through Hagerman Refuge, and going to eat catfish at Hucks in Denison.

    Return Time: 1:00pm

  • As planned, we will be going to the Arboretum for our day trip on March 30th. This trip filled up quickly and is one of our favorites of the entire year. We hated that so many missed out on being able to go, we have decided to add another date on April 4th!

  • Fort Worth Art Museums

    Date: Thursday, Jan 26th

    Amon Carter American Art Museum and the Kimball Art Museum are free museums with world-class art. We will eat lunch at the Kimball Museum cafe.

    Early Departure: 8:30am from the FLC. Return after 3:00pm

    Cost: Free, except for lunch.

    Mobility: Accessible museums with seating throughout. Some can walk between the two museums but will transport between the museums.

  • Choctaw PowWow at Choctaw Cultural Center

    Departure: 9am, return after 3 pm

    Cost: $9
