Student Camp is a week designed for students to grow their relationship with God through worship, community, and, of course, a lot of fun!

 FAQs

  • Camp is for all students that have completed grades 6th through 12th! Whether your student attends FBCVA, is at Van Alstyne ISD, or is local to the area, they are welcome to register and be a part of the weekend.

  • The cost is $400 per student includes all lodging, meals, transportation and camp programming. There is a $50 deposit to reserve your spot.

  • Yes! We do have scholarships available. Please email Sloan at sloan@fbcva.com if you want to donate for a scholarship or have questions about receiving assistance.

  • Groups will be divided by grade. Depending on the number of students per grade, some groups might be merged together.

  • Parents and students will be emailed a packing list of what to bring for Camp. The list will also include items that we will ask students not to bring for the week.

Leading the Week

  • Ryan Fontenot

    The Lord has blessed Ryan with a gift of biblical preaching that speaks to and is reaching this generation with the gospel of Christ. He communicates the truths of the Bible in a relevant and practical way relating to life today. Ryan likes to say he is a nobody, trying to tell everybody, about the Somebody who can save anybody. Saved by Jesus at the age of 18, Ryan’s ministry experience spans over twenty years.

    Ryan founded R.A.G.E. Ministries in 2002 with the aim to REACH UP to God for His glory alone, REACH OUT to a world in desperate need of Jesus and REACH IN to the church empowering believers to do the work of the ministry! Ryan is married to his high-school sweetheart, Heather, and they have three children: Elyn, Inly, and Tru living in their home in Keller, TX

  • Jared Wood

    Based out of Dallas, Texas, Jared Wood is a worship leader and songwriter with a passion for the worship of believers everywhere to not only be expressed by the songs they sing but more by the way they live their lives. Jared served as the Minister of Student Worship at Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, Texas for six years where he had the opportunity to lead worship for 1,200 junior high and high school students every week. In addition to this, Jared has experience in leading in several varying worship venues throughout the church. In July of 2010, Jared followed the Lord’s call to step away from Prestonwood and begin traveling across the state and the country to lead young people in worship. Since then, Jared has led many in worship at events including Falls Creek Oklahoma, Student Leadership University’s Lift Tour, Celebrate Freedom in Dallas and Atlanta, and with us at GENERATE.
