Women’s Ministry

The Women’s Ministry at FBCVA seeks to support, encourage, and exhort women of all ages. Grow spiritually by joining us at a retreat or one of our Wednesday Bible Studies tailored especially for women, serving alongside your sisters in Christ in outreach activities, or making new friends and enjoying old friends by attending one of our social events. It is our desire that you find a place to grow spiritually as well as a place to serve faithfully among your Sisters in Christ.

Ways to Get Involved:

Ladies’ Bible Study meets Wednesdays, September – May, from 9:30 to 11:30 am in the Basement
Fellowship Room and from 6:00 to 7:30 pm in the sanctuary. Come join us and invite a friend! Visit our
Facebook page for current study details.
Women on Mission meets the first Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Family Life Center. Each month, we have a program that highlights individual missionaries, giving us a personal view of their lives and work. We host missionary guest speakers as well as those who come to share information about mission trips they have taken in the United States and abroad. In addition, we have a monthly project which supports worthwhile causes in Van Alstyne, Grayson County, the United States or abroad. Contact Marty Epp with questions or for more information, 903.482.5053.

Events and Activities: Front Porch Friends is a great time of food, fun and fellowship with old friends and new on the porch each spring! Goodies, Games, and Gab is a time to gather with other ladies for a casual night of games, food, and laughter. Retreats are held for a time out for spiritual refreshment – come study and worship with your sisters. Outreach opportunities arise to serve both our church fellowship and the greater community. In addition, you’ll be invited to outings and gatherings and more!
