Women's Ministry The Women's Ministry at First Baptist Church of Van Alstyne is a place for women of all ages to get involved. Grow spiritually by joining us at one of our Wednesday Bible Studies tailored especially for women, or make new friends and enjoy old friends by attending one of our social events and activities. There are many opportunities to get involved at FBC VA! It is our desire that you find a place to grow spiritually as well as a place to serve faithfully. Call Dacia Hatch with questions or for more information, daciahatch@gmail.com.
Ways to Get Involved:
Ladies Bible Study: Join us on Wednesday mornings at 9:30 a.m. downstairs in the basement in the Young Adult Sunday School room, or on Wednesday nights at 6:00 p.m. in the sanctuary as we study a current ladies Bible study. Childcare is provided at both times, but you must register on-line.
Women on Missions: Come join us on the first Monday of each month from 7-9 p.m. at the Family Life Center and share our interest in missions. We have a program each month that highlights individual missionaries and gives us a personal view of their lives and work. We also entertain missionary guest speakers as well as those who come to share information about missionary trips they have taken in the United States and abroad. In addition, we have a monthly project which supports worthwhile causes in Van Alstyne, Grayson County, the United States or abroad. If you have questions or need more information, please contact Marty Epp at 903-482-5053.
Craft Night: If you like to scrapbook, knit, stamp, have another hobby, or just want to hang out with the girls, join us downstairs in the basement in the Young Adult Sunday School room once a month on Friday at 7:00 p.m. Bring a snack to share, your latest project and enjoy a great time of fellowship with other ladies. If you have questions or need more information, please contact Emily Martin at 972-782-2914.
Back Porch Friends: A biannual ladies brunch hosted in the spring and in the fall. A great time of food, fun and fellowship with old friends and new on the back porch! For more information, please contact Barbara Washington at 214-288-0813.
Ladies Retreat: A great opportunity for women to get away from the hustle and bustle of it all; and to laugh, cry, fellowship and spiritually grow with other women. Retreat opportunities are offered in the spring and in the fall, so check back often for details! For more information, please contact Jenny Seal at 214-676-2027.
