The Lyrics of Christmas: Simeon’s Song
When the time was right, Jesus' parents brought him to the temple. There they met a man named Simeon. He had been waiting to see the Messiah and had been promised that he would not die until he saw Him. When Simeon saw Jesus, he knew that the promise had been fulfilled.  His song reflects the joy of seeing the Lord's salvation.

In this message, taken from Luke 2:22-38, Pastor Mike examines the dedication of the parents, the identification of the prophets, and the anticipation of the pain.

The Lyrics of Christmas: The Angels’ Song
Birth announcements have changed over the years. But there are some things that are common to all birth announcements: the date, the place of birth, the name of the child. In Luke 2:8-14, we find a special birth announcement. Angels announced to shepherds the date ("this day"), the place of birth ("the city of David), and the name ("the Savior who is Christ, the Lord"). In this message, Pastor Mike unpacks these verses to find a proclamation and a celebration for God's glory and our peace.

The Lyrics of Christmas: Zechariah’s Song
In this second message from this series, Pastor Mike unpacks Luke 1:67-80, the prophecy of Zechariah following the birth of his son, John. Zechariah was a priest from the line of Abijah, who received the announcement that he and his wife would have a son even though they were both advanced in years and had no children. This miraculous child would be the forerunner of the coming Messiah. Through this message, Pastor Mike considers three couplets found in Zechariah's song: silence and solitude, curse and cure, Savior and song.

The Lyrics of Christmas: Mary’s Song
Music is closely associated with the Christmas season. There are many songs that bring memories of the holidays to mind.  This is the first of a series of Christmas messages that focus on four "songs" recorded in scripture.  This message looks at Mary's song from Luke 1:46-56. This song, known as the Magnificat, is a song of worship. Through this song we see Mary's attitude in worship, the object of her worship, and the reason for her worship.
