    The Glory of Christmas
An ordinary Joe - that's what Joseph was.  He was a simple carpenter; a working man. There are no words spoken by Joseph recorded in the Bible. However, actions speak louder than words and Joseph's actions tell much about the kind of man Joseph was.  In Matthew 1:18-25, Joseph is faced with a dilemma, he has a dream that reveals a tremendous truth, and he makes a decision that changes his life and allows him to see the glory of Christmas.

    The Greatness of Christmas
Have you ever stopped to think about how powerful are the words, "We're expecting?"  Everyone has a story about how they were born, but no one has a birth story quite like that of Jesus.  In this message, Pastor Mike relates Mary's reaction to the announcement that she was expecting. We see that Mary developed an awareness of God's presence, she devoted herself to God's plan, she delighted in God's power, and she depended on God's promises.

    The Grace of Christmas
When writing a story, you want an introduction that will grab the reader's interest and set the stage for the rest of the narrative.  The genealogy that begins Matthew's gospel may not be the most exciting introduction, but it is important to establish the lineage of Jesus.  In this first message of the new series, Pastor Mike delves into the meaning, the miracle, and the ministry of Jesus' family tree.

    Our Great God of Sanctity
Worship is not something that is limited to one hour a week.  God deserves our praise at all times.  In this last message in the Great and Mighty series, Pastor Mike draws from Psalm 46:10-11 to remind us that God has a plan that must be regarded. God's plan is a definite, divine, redemptive plan.  God's presence should be remembered, because His praise will be received. Believers have many reasons to be thankful and offer praise.

    Our Great God of Simplicity
The level of knowledge in the world has increased exponentially, but knowledge of God has decreased.  Psalm 46:10 commands us to "Be still and know that I am God."  God is not easy to understand, but He is simple to know.  We must be willing to submit to the contemplation that is demanded, and realize the revelation that is described - a revelation that is personal and powerful.

    Our Great God of Sovereignty
Westerns movies often feature a showdown in which someone would say, "There ain't room enough in this town for the both of us."   Although many deny and defy Him, our God is still on the throne. He is still in control.  He is still sovereign.  In this message from Psalm 46:6-9, Pastor Mike explores the sovereignty of God as declared by past events, determined for prophetic events, and demonstrated in present events.  There is only one God.  There is room for no other.

    Our Great God of Safety
Because Jerusalem was not built around a natural river, King Hezekiah diverted a natural spring outside the city into a reservoir inside the walls using a system of underground waterways. This 'river' provided safety and stability when Jerusalem came under attack. In the third message of the series based on Psalm 46, Pastor Mike explores the mystery, the might, and the meaning of the river as illustrated in verses 4 and 5, and what the River means to us today.

    Our Great God of Stability
There is a great deal of instability in our world.  Earthquakes, weather, economic uncertainty, political instability.  In this second sermon in a series based on Psalm 46, Pastor Mike reminds us of the stability to be found in trusting God.  We have unspeakable comfort from God and we can have unshakable confidence in Him.  Though the earth gives way, we will not fear, because God is our refuge and strength.

    Our Great God of Security
Martin Luther, one of the pioneers of the Protestant Reformation, is perhaps best known as the author of the hymn, A Mighty Fortress Is Our God.  The hymn was inspired by Psalm 46, Luther's favorite psalm.  Pastor Mike begins his sermon series based on this psalm by looking at the first verse.  In this one verse we see the authority of God established, the ability of God expressed, and the activity of God explained.
