God Uses Loving Church Members
Love is an important part of the Christian life, and plays a major role in the church.  In 1 John 4:7-11, we are reminded to love each other with a Christ-like love.  A love that goes beyond appearances and looks deep within a person.  The kind of love that characterizes a great church is un-natural, unselfish, and unconditional.

    God Uses Serving Church Members
Service is not the root of salvation - it is the fruit of salvation.  A new life and a new Lord motivates our service.  In this message, Pastor Mike draws from 1 Thessalonians 1:6-10 to show that serving is a necessary component of a great church.  Christ died for us.  The least we can do is live for Him.

    God Uses Caring Church Members
The saddest phrase in the English language could be, "No one cares."  In this message, taken from Luke 10:25-37, Pastor Mike encourages church members to show compassion toward others.  It's not enough to say that we care - we must show it though our actions.

    God Uses Growing Church Memebers
Churches often focus on numerical growth, but sacrifice spiritual growth in the process.  You can have a large crowd with a spiritually immature congregation.  The measuring stick of a great church is the spiritual maturity of its members.  If we are going to be a great church, we need to have a desire to grow in our walk with Christ.  Listen to Pastor Mike as he preaches from 1 Peter 2:1-3 and 2 Peter 3:18, and learn how to have a life that is given by Christ, is growing in Christ, and is godly for Christ.

    God Uses Worshipping Church Members
In this second sermon in the series, "How God Builds a Great Church," Pastor Mike draws from John 4:21-24 to teach about worship and what it means to us.  Great churches are worshipping churches.  Great churches understand the priority, the person, and the power of worship.

    What Is a Great Church?
In the first part of a new series, Pastor Mike uses 1 Timothy 3:14-15 to answer the question, "What makes a church great?"  Great facilities do not make a great church.  Boundless resources do not make a great church.  A church is great when it is a place where God's presence is dwelling, where God's power is demonstrated, and God's principles are declared.

    Extreme Makeover
You can change your outward appearance with weight loss, makeup, new clothes, and new hairstyles, but that won't change the person you are inside.  As we read in 2 Corinthians 5:14-17, God can give you an "Extreme Makeover" from the inside out through Christ.  He can give you a new purpose for living, a new attitude toward others, a new identity in Christ, and a new nature in Christ.

    Got Any Spare Change?
We all have spare change lying around.  These are the "leftovers" after we have spent money on the things that matter to us.  Are we just giving God spare change?  Or do we give generously, knowing that everything we have comes from Him?  In this message, Pastor Mike uses 2 Timothy 6:17-19 to show that generosity in giving proves we are trusting God, transfers our treasure to heaven, and awakens us to real life.

    Ride the Wave
Change is inevitable.  It comes at us like waves on the ocean.  We can either fight the wave, be crushed by the wave, or ride the wave.  In this message, taken from Isaiah 43:16-19, Pastor Mike relates three ways for the Church to ride the wave of the changing world.

    Change, of Course
Part two in the "Different but the Same" sermon series.  Drawing from Jesus' example of child-like faith in Matthew 18:1-4, Pastor Mike encourages us to accept change as a child would. To be like a child, we should:
    • Be excited about new experiences
    • Forgive others quickly
    • Accept others without prejudging them
    • Recapture a sense of joyful wonder
    • Simply and totally trust God
