- 5 teams: FBC, FUMC (A), FUMC (B), Greywood Heights, Elmont
- Field minimum 3 women at all times.
- Batting line up/top of order must be boy, girl, boy, girl, boy, girl, etc. until all girls are used.
- * Big to-do on Sunday between Rodney (FUMC) and Steve (Elmont) regarding line-up of all players batting vs. max. amount of players on the roster batting. If you want to put your 2 cents in, do it now!
- 5 home runs per team per game until other team hits 5.
- Take care of the fields -- drag on Sundays so we can play on Mondays. Need to buy chalk.
- Will only have 1 umpire for games.
- League provides softballs -- boys will use 12", girls will use 11".
- ASA rules on height of pitch.
- 3rd foul hit = out.
- Start with 0-0 count.
- Play each team twice with 2 weeks of byes. Start 8/29/11 and end 11/01/11. Tournament for 1st-4th place is 11/07/11. (5th place will not be in tournament.) Game 10 will be played on 11/01/11 instead of 10/31/11.
- Games will be 55 minutes or 6 innings.
- Provide own protective gear, if needed (helmets, catcher mask, etc.).
- $300 per team. Use matching t-shirts (i.e. from vbs, mission trip, or other church function, etc.). NEED NUMBERS ON BACKS. Also, can get sponsorship and put logo/info on back of shirts if desired. Others will be using Ken Wappess to make shirts: Ken@skytex.net 214/504-6609. (His wife is going through some medical needs, and they want to give him their support.)
- Need line-up (roster of player name and player number) for each game. Coach can be coach or coach/player.
- Need scorekeepers for each team to sit side-by-side (non-players; in the stands) each game.
- Would like teams to either come early and support the teams playing before them, or stay after to support the teams playing after them.
- Practice -- we can practice anytime -- schedule one for this Sunday evening? One of the methodist teams will be using a field at 6:30.
- This league has the sole use of the 2 fields at Forrest Moore park until the end of the tournament.
